Changing Asset Field Behaviour

I have been trying change some of the default fields work. Currently Field1 throught Field5 are desighned to be drop down menus the we are to defined values for and that's okay for values that are re. I know how to change the name of the field but can't seem to change type from "select from list or enter text" to a "text only" field.


Anyone know how this is done?

Thanks for sending this in.
The fields that come with RangerMSP cannot be changed to be different types of fields; however, the fields that you want to convert from dropdown to freetext can be altered by removing the option that limits the text box to list values. This can be done by right clicking the field > Field settings > Field Behavior Adjust the field options there.
