Anyone else running the CommitCRM server on SBS2008 and accessing it via clients on normal LAN workstations?
I am still having issues where randomly the connection to the database seems to go screwy, causing random CommitCRM error messages and the program whites out and needs to be killed via its process. I've had some data corruption once from this issue too where data from one resolution field ended up in a few random accounts. Basically if I leave CommitCRM open and unused for more than 30 minutes you cna just about guarentee the database connection will be screwed and you will have to kill and re-openCommitCRM.
I thought it was an issue with my vista workstation but I'm now running Windows 7 and the same thing happens. then i thought it might be my network card so I upgraded my entire PC and its still happening. so then I replaced both 10/100 switches on the LAN with Cisco gigabit switches and the issue still remains. Happens on this Windows 7 PC and my Vista laptop. So i'm pretty sure its an issue with the server. I'd run the DB on my workstation to test but that would mean i'd have to run the web interface off my work PC which i realy don't want to do. but if nobody else is seeing this behaviour on SBS2008 i think i'll have to try it.
cheers
