it's nice that we can copy custom pricing from another account but what we really need is the ability to set up custom pricing templates and have each account reference that directly.
The issue is when we make changes to our custom pricing (which happens every couple of months), we have to update EACH account manually. One way we have tried to work around how CommitCRM does it is that we have set up a couple of "template accounts" and use each to copy to various client accounts. We then run through our ENTIRE account database one by one and manually update each account by...
1 - selecting the custom pricint tab
2 - click copy from
3 - click custom pricing for an acount
4 - click copy all custom pricing settings
5 - find and select the "template account"
6 - click confirm
7 - move to the next client... and repeat!
as you can imagine, this is very time consumming and has serious potential for errors (which can turn into very sticky conversations with clients!!!).
the solution is simple... allow us to link a "template account" (or let us set up true templates) then let us set each account to reference the "template account" directly. This way we can update the "template account" and all accounts that reference it are automaticllay updated!
