    Is there a way to change the default sort criteria for a custom report?

    The default sort cannot be changed. However, in most reports you can sort the data using "Sort" button. However, we're missing the details about the specific report and specific requirements you have so we can't provide additional feedback.

      The report is the Ticket List. I wanted to sort and group on Status. I can set the grouping, but without changing the sort, the groups aren't actually grouped. I may get two open tickets, and then three pending tickets, and then one more open ticket, and then a Hold ticket, and then another pending ticket. This defeats the purpose of grouping.

      I'm not going to remember to change the sorting order every time I run the report, so I guess I won't add the grouping.

        Thank you for providing the additional information. Unfortunately the only way to sort it by status is to select this option each time you generate the report, it cannot be set as the default sort option.
