Connecting a remote desktop to server

Hi,
Is there any way to connect a remote client (desktop ver of commit) to a SQL server
via internet? Basically connect a remote branch to a server using desktop (no website)

The way to do it is to open an RDP/Terminal-Services session over the Internet from anywhere, then, run RangerMSP within this session.
