    Warranty

    In the "Warranty / license Exp.Date" insert the expiry date of the guarantee.
    When the warranty has expired and is replaced by a regular contract
    for services sull'assett how should I adjust?

    Once the customer renewed the warranty - either for one year, two years, etc. you need to update the Asset Warranty/Expiration Date field to reflect the new expiration date.

      After the warranty period the customer subscribes, in general, a contract with Start Date and End Date, the latter is generally open (we insert 31-12-3000).
      Change, for all assett, the expiry date of the guarantee would be a huge job and also you lose the information on the warranty period granted to the customer.
      If it is not possbile to do otherwise the only solution is to create a fictitious contract with the warranty period.
      What is your opinion?

        It is hard to tell because each business works differently and has different requirements. In case the service/warranty that you provide is based on Contracts then perhaps you can even not use the Asset level Warranty Expiration Date field. However, if only part of the Assets are covered by the Contract then you definitely need to update their expiration date.
