    Emailing PDF invoices

For the last few months I have had problems emailing PDF invoices from the QuickBooks software after they have been produced through CommitCRM.

People receiving them in Outlook have no problem, but people using Outlook Express or Windows Live Mail fail to get the attachment, even when they have been copied in on the email and the Outlook user gets it OK, so it has been sent!

    Has anyone else experienced this?

    Re: Emailing PDF invoices

Maybe the security setting in Outlook Express and Windows Live Mail are blocking attachments? There is an option in Windows Live Mail and Outlook Express that says "Do not allow attachments to be saved or opened that could potentially be a virus".

For Outlook Express see here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/329570
For Windows Live Mail see here: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-GB/w...roubleshoot-ui

    Hope that helps.

      Re: Emailing PDF invoices

I have setup a test Windows Live mail account and found that if I save the pdf invoice to the desktop, then attach it to an email in Outlook, then it is received OK. Just not when sent through QuickBooks.

This does sound like it could be a security settings issue as Mister-c suggested. Have you checked those settings he mentioned for Outlook Express and Windows Live? You may also want to contact QuickBooks support for advice on this issue.
