Just wanted to check in and see if there was any traction on getting more fields into contacts with the addition of multi-select.
Again, what we are ultimately looking to do (beyond having additional fields so that we can document necessary and required information about each contact) is have a way to mark contacts with different rolls, levels of rights/permissions as well as flagging contacts for special actions. For example, we need to let all our employees know who the primary contacts are for each site, who to contact for project approval, who we should send marketing materials to, who wishes to be notified of security alerts, etc. -- basically we need to be able to filter contacts based on group memberships. A good example of this is with the heartbleed bug -- there are certain people at each client site that we need to notify when security issues like this occur. Being able to flag a contact as "Technical Alerts" so that we could email all of them an announcement would make us look good and help us stay on top of communications.
When we eventually do get more fields for contacts (really hoping this is in development as I type!), can we also enable the labels for them as well? It would be ideal if we could have a separate list for contacts (instead of sharing the ones being used for accounts and contracts).
