Bulk update

We are starting to do some marketing campaigns. Is there a way to mass or bulk update field for multiple customers at 1 time.

For example we send a mailer out to 200 customers and we want to track who it was sent to. Going through one at a time and checking a box or making notes will take forever.

Thank you for posting this.

Sure, you can use Account > Tools > Batch Update for this - just select the appropriate field (even custom fields) from the list shown in the popup and enter the new value. Also multiple fields can be updated at once. You should of course backup before running a batch update.

This only seems to work for current active customers. We are doing marketing to "opportunities" and I do not see a way to bulk update the "source" field.

When logging in as a SysAdmin user open the Accounts Window, navigate to the tab that holds the 'Source' field, right click above the field label and select 'Field Settings...' from the menu that opens.

The field settings Window will open.
Navigate to the 'Advanced' tab and at the bottom select the option to 'Enable batch update' for this field.
Save.
Restart RangerMSP.

Try to Batch Update again.
The 'Source' field should now be listed.

PS: Always take a full backup of RangerMSP before running any type of Batch Update.
