Strange Characters on Internal Email Subject Lines

Support, our subject lines for internal system emails are now containing strange characters. Example:

    =??q?=5Bacc-mgr=5D_RangerMSP_Charge_-_New_=5BFAA_Product_and_Services=A0?= =??q?

    Please advise. Thank you!

    Thank you for posting this.

Does it happen only with these specific email alerts about adding a new Charge?

This can be related either to the browser encoding settings, in case you use Outlook web app (for example), or to the encoding defined for the outgoing email sent by Email Connector.

If possible please try to view these emails using another email client application.

In addition, please check whether a 'CharSet' token exists in the <installation-folder>\Server\CmtEmailDelivery.ini file.
Usually the CharSet is needed when working in non-English languages.

Please let us know how it goes

There is no "CharSet" token, only 6 lines with email settings

Thank you for the update. It is possible that some "problematic" characters were included in the data shown on the subject.

We suggest that you forward us a few examples of these email alerts to our support@ email address and we will try to analyze them and then provide our insights.

        Hope this helps!
