Move to VM - After upgrade to v9?

I am preparing to move our CommitCRM location from a stand alone server to a dedicated VM. I would like a recommendation, Upgrade to v9 first or wait until the migration is completed?

Thanks for asking. It is always better to migrate the recent version over an older one to eliminate stuff to worry about while migrating. So we recommend that you first upgrade, see that it is all good and then move your system to the system.
