Link Vendor to Ticket

We have all of our "external vendors" within CommitCRM, all created as Vendor within the customer type. We frequently assign tickets to external vendors, and currently we just note within the ticket that a vendor is assisting or working with us on the ticket (Wiring tech, Dell onsite, etc...). It would be great if we could link tickets to vendor accounts, so that we can quickly see what work is connected to that vendor.

Thank you for posting and suggesting this.

You should consider implementing this by adding a new custom tab for Tickets - 'Vendor' - and place a new custom data field on it - when you do - set the new field type to "Select Account". This will allow to pick up the Vendor Account from the list and have that link stored as part of the Ticket details - in the dedicated account selection field.

This will also allow you to filter Tickets by this field.

@CommitCRM Support Great trick!!! :) Just found the "Rename/Share" option in filters so I don't have to have everyone build their own filters!
