Quickbooks online

Hello we just had to switch from the desktop version of quickbooks to the online. Got that all set and linked but when go to create an invoice I am getting the following message

The invoice will be created without invoice number, Continue?

it does as it says created the invoice but no number. The desktop would let quickbooks just use the next in line.

do I have something wrong?

Thanks for asking. This all depends on a QuickBooks Online setting.

In case you want QuickBooks to number the invoices automatically, you should unselect the option 'Custom transaction numbers' under the QuickBooks company settings page and as a result invoices generated from RangerMSP will get automaticallyly numbered. (And, when invoicing from RangerMSP, keep the value intact so QB defaults will be used).

Please RESTART RangerMSP after changing the setting in QuickBooks Online in order to clear any local caches.
Next try generating an invoice where you should now see that Reference # is automatically by QuickBooks:
