Is there any way to get the proper sales tax to show up on charge reports?

Hi Luke,

Thank you for your question. In order to have taxes printed in Charge reports, the tax codes should be defined in the account records and in the item record so the tax will be calculated for the charge.

You can set a default tax (from Tools > Options > Accounts, and Tools > Options > Charges & Contracts) which will take affect only for accounts and items which are created after you set the default tax.

For accounts which already exist, you should go to the account record and update the tax codes there. You can read more about using taxes in RangerMSP here.
