Thunderbird Integration

Are there any plans to integrate Mozilla Thunderbird and Mozilla Lightning/Sunbird with CommitCRM? Our field techs work primarily from a Mac, so this makes Outlook not an option for us. Lightning does support subscribing to ICS files and such, is there a possibility that this route could be taken for use?

Hi,

RangerMSP client is a Windows application and should be used on Windows platform only. It currently integrates best with Outlook client, which allows you to send emails from within the program, synchronize with Outlook, file emails, etc.

Using RangerMSP on Macs may be achieved by using RangerMSP Web Interface.

That said, if you use other email application (on Windows), you can still keep track of emails which are related to specific accounts or tickets if you save the emails to files, and file it under the relevant ticket/account in RangerMSP by drag and dropping the file onto the RangerMSP window. We may add a more enhanced built-in support for Thunderbird in case the demand for it increases.
