    Taxable vs. Non-Taxible Labor

    Hi,
I have an item BIL which is to be a NON-Taxable item (in my state, consultation is not taxible). When I add labor items from CommitCRM to QuickBooks, Tax is applied. How do I change that setting. Obviously, for hardware and other items, I want to charge tax, just not for consulting time.

    Thanks,
    Scott

    Re: Taxable vs. Non-Taxible Labor

    Hi Scott,

    Thank you for your question.

When you transfer the Charges from RangerMSP to QuickBooks, the taxes are calculated in QuickBooks, regardless of any Tax settings you have in RangerMSP.

You should check which items are being used in these charges, and make sure these items are marked as non-taxable in QuickBooks. When checking this, make sure the item which is being used in the charge actually exists in QuickBooks, and that the RangerMSP item is linked to the QuickBooks item - you can read more about this here.

Hope this makes more sense now :-)
