I'm wondering why there isn't a feature to automatically create a QuickBooks Estimate or quote automatically from an Opportunity?
(Is this a feature in v5.0 or planned for an upcoming release?)
Our sales team has to enter in all the information for a quote once into the CommitCRM Opportunity, and then twice into an Estimate in QB, or their own Estimate/Quote Excel spreadsheet. What's worse is that many of the fields in Opportunities (like Cost/Price) don't allow copy & paste, so much of the info has to be hand-typed.
This can become very cumbersome if there are 10 Opportunities that need to be entered, and then 10 Estimates/Quotes that need to be hand-created outside of CommitCRM (or 20, 30, etc.).
Does anyone have any suggestions on this? Has anyone figured out a streamlined way of creating Estimates from Opportunities? I thought about exporting an Opportunity to an Excel spreadsheet, but the data is very raw and the process is not very simple/quick.
