Description

When trying to send Email from CommitCRM using Outlook you get the following error:


The command line argument is not valid. Verify the switch you are using.


Resolution

Even though all the mailto links may be setup correctly in the Windows “Default Programs” control panel this mailto registry entry may be pointing to Chrome.exe, possibly due to some Chrome add-in trying to handle mailto links.


Below is a screen shot of the correct registry setting for Windows x64 with Office 2013.
