    sql

We are running the advantage sql. Our main office network is 192.168.5.1-255 , our service network is 10.10.10.1-255. We have 2 pc’s on the service network that have access back into the 5 range and have the same drive letter mapped forCommitCRM. Before going to the advantage it worked perfectly. Now we get errors. I believe the advantage sql server is only broadcasting in the 5.1 range or allowing request from the 5 range. We use the web interface in the service side but it’s not as quick when entering data. Speed of the web interface is good it’s just easier to run with the client. Can we get some help here.

    Hi,

    Thanks for posting this.

The RangerMSP SQL Database has the supported feature to allow users from a different Lan to log into the DB. The reason the RangerMSP client cannot connect to the server is because the server is not receiving the UDP packets that need to be sent from your 10.x.x.x Lan. In order to troubleshoot this issue, we have a forum thread which covers the complete process of preparing the file needed to resolve this behavior, and allow your other workstations to log in. This process should resolve the behavior you've described. When you're in the forum post, look for the instructions on how to prepare the "ADS.ini" file for your database, and let us know if you need anything else.

Here's the link to the forum discussion I mentioned.

Let us know if you have anymore questions.
