Hi guys,
I generally use the manufacturer HDD diag tools off the most recent Hirens CD, occasionally I’ll run of an ISO of the manufacturer CD direct.
However I'm noticing that the most recent versions of the Samsung and Hitachi diags tools I can find do not recognise all SATA3 chipsets. I've got an Asus board here where it will not detect any drives plugged in at all, yet if I put them on a board with SATA2 they are all detected.
Anyone got any hidden more recent manufacturer diags discs, or another tool that reliably detects errors in all brands of drives?
cheers
Nathan
