    Database maintenance?

    Hello

We've been using CommitCRM for a while, and our current ticket numbers are 0500-13250. I have noticed that the performance of CommitCRM seems to have degraded a bit. For example completing a ticket now takes longer than it used to. We already have the SQL backend. Is there any suggested maintenance that would improve the performance?

    Re: Database maintenance?

Most common delays occur due to not white-listing the entire RangerMSP folder tree on both the server and client PCs. This makes every access to the data scanned and causes delays, this would be the first thing to check. The second thing would be to verify that RangerMSP is not installed on your server on an extremely busy physical drive. This is because saving and querying information are all I/O operations.

    Hope this helps.

we are getting into the 8000 ticket range and climbing fast. what do you suggest CommitCRM to speed things up at this point?

We have customers with > 100,000 tickets and the system works very well. See our reply above and review things.

            Re: Database maintenance?

We referred to your Anti-Virus package. It differs from product to product but in general you get to define folder/s to exclude from checking, this dramatically helps in increasing performance or else anything being read/written/accessed under the RangerMSP folder tree is scanned and thus delayed.
