Opportunity ID

Is there a way to have an ID automatically created when the opp is opened? For example, with a sequential # similar to Quotes?

Thank you for sending this in. Unfortunately no this is not currently possible. While for Quotes and Tickets the number is auto-incremented it does not work the same way with the opportunity ID which is a free text field you may use.
