    Customizing alerts to customers

    How do I customize the email alerts which are sent to customers on ticket open/close?

    Answer

    Go to Settings > Email Templates and make a copy of Ticket - Alerts to Customers - New Ticket - Designed.

    When you copy it, the template will be opened for you to edit the HTML. You can use any standard HTML here to add images, links etc. You can send a test email from here at any time to see how it will look. Next click the Details tab and choose a name for your new template, make sure the Active box is checked and then click OK to save.

    Repeat the process for the Ticket - Alerts to Customers - Ticket Closed template.

    Now to make the system use these templates for your alerts,go to Tools > Options > Alerts to Customers and select your new template in the relevant box.

    Restart the RangerMSP Server service to make your changes active immediately.
