super frustrated with the lack of fields in contacts!

We are attempting to use the department field to tells us which department and/or site an employee (contact) is in yet there seems to be no way to list that field as a column anywhere or even get it to appear in a report.

Really hoping the next update gives us more fields to work with and the ability to sort and search. It's absolutely ridiculous that we can't track the details of our customers (meaning the people!). At the very least, we should have:
    First Name
    Last Name
    Job Title
    Email address (at least two!)
    Phone numbers (at lest four!)
Full Address with the ability to flag what the address is for (home, business, other)
    Department
    Office/Site
    Nickname
    Managers Name
    Assistant's Name
    Spouse/Partner
    Birthday

In addition, we should be able to create categories specific to secondary contacts and multi-select them... this way we could flag contacts with certain rights or notifications or mailings, etc.

Our coming version (in ~2 weeks) will include some additional options to store more information regarding secondary contacts. Hopefully this will help in some of the work flow you require.

        Hi
Not seeing a lot of change?
What I have always wanted is a "Delivery Address" section as most of our customers have different addresses for mailing and working.

Much like Quick Books has, but we have to have the mailing address here as this is what posts through to the address fields in QB that we use to generate invoices.

Sometimes we merge the two, but it is painful always having to look up a street address if we need one.

        Thanks
        Stephen

          Thank you for posting this.

There is already an option to set two address for Account/Contact by using the small envelop icon located left to the address field where you can customize it.

When using the QuickBooks link - by default the Invoice is generated with customer address set in QuickBooks (unless set manually otherwise), this way you can set the mailing address in QuickBooks while the actual working address will be set in RangerMSP (e.g. invoices will be sent to the address you selected in QB).

Last but not least, in RangerMSP 8 were introduced Structured Note for Account and Secondary Contact that where you can add additional information. It's not exactly the same but it is important to be aware of that.

          Hope this helps.
