I remember before it was automate, and before CW owned it - there was integration. It was provided by Labtech but they dropped it right when CW took over.

Yep, that's correct :-) Back in the days when it was LabTech and not affiliated and a part of CW there was a great two-way integration between the two, CW dropped it soon after acquiring LabTech and rebranding it to Automate.

CW dropped it because they want to sell CW manage.

For Ranger adding integration may lure people over to Ranger.

I rather own and control my data than leave it to someone else, also the monthly billing sucks vs buy it own it and support it.
