Prevent Passwords without assets

We have issues with people making passwords without them being attached to an asset. When this happens, they are hard to find, AND very difficult to know what they go to.

How do we make it so that no passwords can be created without an asset.

Passwords can be managed at different levels.

Linking Passwords to assets is optional.

If you want to simply list 5 Passwords under your customer account, you can. The app doesn't limit or force you to link such Passwords to Assets. This is useful because not everyone tracks Assets or at least some may want to store Passwords without having to create an Asset in some cases.

In any case, your idea to force-linking Passwords to Assets and prevent adding Passwords otherwise will be logged for consideration. Thank you for asking.

In order to more easily detect Passwords not linked to Assets you can open the main Password Manager window and sort the list by the Asset field, ones that are grouped as empty - i.e. no Assets, do not link to an asset.
